BioThis is an anonymous account, which I originally just created to continue reading the journal of one argentla once he went friends-only.
I'm not the kind of person who keeps diaries, so my own journal will likely stay empty.
Oh yes, you might still want to know where the silly journal name comes from. "Nacktmull" is German for naked mole rat; while English is my native tongue, I currently live and work in a German-speaking country. And "70" is derived from my year of birth; someone else already grabbed the more generic journal name "nacktmull" before I created this journal.
Why naked mole rats? Well, as someone who has been working in a regular job for some years now (it's more than 10 years since I graduated from university), I am somewhat fascinated by these animals. They are the only mammals to live in large colonies with a social structure like termites and ants - a clan is ruled by a queen, which dominates everyone, and sees to it that the worker males spend their days digging ever more tunnels for the brood that she produces.
Apart from the fact that my boss is, in fact, male, the rest of the description applies quite well to my average day job situation. Digging of tunnels with no end in sight - and everything being ruled by someone with a moderate amount of clue (o.k., the last bit is probably quite unfair to the mole rats).
The bit about naked mole rats being as ugly as sin is also quite apt - at least for most of my colleagues, and of course my esteemed boss. I am a computer scientist, after all... :-)
